How to Submit an Obituary
Free news obituaries
West Valley View publish obituaries about former West Valley residents free of charge as a community service. We write our free news obituaries in journalistic style, based on factual information and a photograph that funeral homes or families provide us. See a summary of our format below.

Below is an electronic form you may use to submit your information and photograph online. (You may also e-mail, fax or mail us obituaries)

Free news obituaries must be received
by 10:30 a.m. Monday for Tuesday’s edition, and
by 10:30 a.m. Thursday for Friday’s edition.

Examples of phrasing we omit:
gone to be with the Lord
loved to golf
survivors beyond immediate family (no nieces, uncles, friends, pets)
survivors’ spouses (no sisters-in-law, sons-in-law)

Paid ad obituaries
In addition, paid ad obituaries are available for non-residents or for information
that differs from our news format. You may place a paid ad obituary through our classified or display advertising department at 623-535-8439.

Paid ad obituaries must be received
by 2 p.m. Friday for Tuesday’s edition, and
by 2 p.m. Tuesday for Friday’s edition.

Please send us a photo of your loved one. Use the form below to upload your photo so that we may use it in the paper as well as on-line. Thank you for your efforts to provide a photo.
